We lost the kindest spirit with the most infectious smile on June 5th when William Allen Tate, a beloved 15-year-old, passed away suddenly at home. Will, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on January 14th, 2010.
If you’ve ever been the recipient of a Will hug, you know he was a bright shining light in this world. Will loved music and had mad DJ skills with a playlist of music from the 80s and 90s. He enjoyed video games, hanging out and chatting with his friends, family gatherings, and prided himself on always having a joke on hand to make those around him laugh. So think of Will as you answer this: Why are peppers nosy? Because they are jalapeño business.
Will left an indelible mark on everyone around him. He will be missed by parents, Sara and Ryan Tate, sisters, Molly and Caroline, grandparents, cousins, and friends. Thankful for the short time shared, the memories of true love and kindness will forever be a gift.
Will thrived during his years in the Union School District, where he and his family were very active and are loved and cherished. In honor of Will’s memory, the Tate family chose to establish this fund in order to enhance the education experience for students and teachers throughout the Union School District for years to come.
