We need your help
Hi, my name is Nevada M. Harris; a proud grandmother of 7 children, however, one of them was born with a severe case of Spina Bifida. And is on life support.
The family was given the opportunity for surgery, but turned it down
She may not live very long. We, the family, are not allowing the surgery; it will be too much to put her little body through, and there are also a lot of side effects. 1. Fluid on the brain will keep returning and must be drained to prevent infections.
If the family had opted for the surgery, there would have had to be more surgery’s major surgeries; two of them on her back. (The upper part of her spine is exposed no skin over it; also, the lower part of her spine is exposed and will need skin grafting to prevent infection. Last but not least, the doctor will have to build my poor grandbaby a rectum. So she won’t develop bacteria .
My family has decided to take her off life support so she’s not suffering anymore.
