Restlawn Cemetery was officially established in 1993. It is a designated Texas Historic Site located in Edinburg, Texas for African Americans who were not permitted to be buried in the regular cemetery during the period of segregation. The purpose of this fund is to provide headstones for the graves of individuals buried there and for the ongoing maintenance and beautification of this sacred and historical place.
