Support Kris Browne’s Family After His Sudden Passing

Tuesday, May 20th, Kris very unexpectedly passed away. He was two weeks into being 47, and though he had some health issues recently, nothing led us to ever suspect that I would wake up one morning and he wouldn’t. His family and those who loved him were wholly unprepared, and we are coming together to do everything we can to support his teenaged children.

They want to be able to stay in the only home they’ve ever known. I would be the responsible adult in this home, and their Mom just bought her own home. No one wants them stressed about how a bill is getting paid or if they have enough to go on a school field trip. Currently, we don’t know how long it’ll take to access his funds, receive any benefits, and get us to a point of stability.

We need to be able to cover household expenses, costs for his service/memorial, and be able to keep us running while I get a regular, stable income again.

I’m normally much better with words than this, but grief is big and removing my eloquence, and y’all don’t need me to tell you how much Kris was just a good person, who always assisted others and never expected nor wanted anything in return for it. Everything we raise that isn’t needed to defray immediate death-related expenses will be set into a household account to cover day-to-day living, especially the first few months. We don’t have a service date set in stone yet; we are looking at late June.
