Hello, my name is Dylan, and I am raising funds for the family of my beloved sister, Janine, who tragically passed away far too soon.
It is with a heavy heart that I reach out for help. Janine lost her courageous battle with cancer at the age of just 42. Her passing leaves behind an unimaginable void — not only for me and everyone who loved her, but especially for her 9-year-old son, Lasse, and her husband, Andreas, who now faces a deeply challenging road ahead.
Janine’s journey began in 2022 with a diagnosis of breast cancer, just as she and her family were beginning to plan their dream home. What followed were months of hospital stays, chemotherapy treatments, and a mastectomy in July 2023. For a moment, there was hope. The family reunited, moved into their new home in autumn 2023, and looked forward to a brighter future.
But in April 2024, everything changed again: lung cancer. After everything she had already overcome, this new diagnosis was devastating. Yet, Janine faced it head-on, undergoing more rounds of chemotherapy and radiation with the same strength and grace that defined her entire life.
In July 2024, Janine’s partner and the father of her son proposed to her. In just one week, we came together to give her the wedding of her dreams — a beautiful and emotional day that she was determined to enjoy. She lit up the room despite the pain, surrounded by love.
Sadly, despite all efforts, the cancer was inoperable. She never gave up hope, but the treatments could no longer keep up. She spent her final days in hospice care and passed away on May 17, 2025, with dignity and love. Her last day at home was her son’s 9th birthday — a memory he will always carry with him.
Now, her family needs us.
This loss brings not only profound grief but also serious financial strain. We are raising funds to help Andreas and Lasse remain in their home, take time to grieve, and begin the long process of healing without the added pressure of overwhelming costs.
Every donation, no matter the amount, can make a real difference. Please consider helping this grieving family during their darkest time. Together, we can offer some light and stability when it is most needed.
Thank you — truly — for your kindness, generosity, and support.
