My name is David, and I’m raising funds for the funeral and burial of my dear dad.
In late April 2025, my dad received a delayed Stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis from an irresponsible hospital doctor. After being discharged to a nursing home in early May, his condition got worse; he lost over 40 pounds and now weighs less than 100 pounds.
On May 22nd, I discharged him from the nursing home to his apartment, where he has been living alone. I was only able to visit him during my work lunch hour and after work, trying to feed him something to eat, which he often failed to do. I could only give him his pain meds to relieve his extreme pain.
I know, and my dad knows, he is near death, which is tearing my heart. My dad has been living alone for the majority of his life since my mom passed away in 1987.
I’m preparing for the worst and know it’s a matter of time, but I’m praying for a miracle in the corner of my heart.
