Hi, my name is Jamie and I’m doing a fundraiser for my best friend, Darla Ackerman. Her husband, Kelly Ackerman, passed away on 5/31/2025. He passed away from a ruptured hernia unexpectedly.
Darla and her husband had been together for over 23 years. It was love at first sight. They never had any kids, but they loved their dogs. Darla has a disability that keeps her from working, and Kelly worked odd jobs like a handyman. So, they lived below poverty but still managed to have a smile and a kind heart to neighbors and friends. Kelly was 52 when he passed away, too young to leave Darla. She needs help with his funeral expenses. She was not prepared for this. It has devastated her; she needs help. She has no money for bills, and now she is having to worry about what to do with Kelly’s body. She would like to cremate him and have a small vigil. And only you kind people can help that happen. She would never ask for help, but that’s why I am her best friend. I am asking for her. Please help Darla and Kelly. Together we can make this happen. Anything helps, and even 5 or 10 dollars add up.
