Remembering Roxana: a Legacy of Festival arts By Bonnie Rovics

A week ago, on June 2nd, our long time festival artist extraordinaire, Roxana Bentes de Moura passed way.

This was sudden and unexpected. She was only 67.

We have been collectively grieving and celebrating her life. Roxana was such a core and profound part of our festival arts programs for almost 40 years!

She brought so much to all of us for so many years!

Her partner Tom and closest friend Zafiro will be going to Mexico to join in ceremony with her family soon. We are sending along donations from this community to her family to help with any medical or end of life expenses.
