Norman Janssens afterlife expenses By Kristy Ann

In early April, my cousin Brittany’s dad found out he had cancer. A large lump was found in his esophagus. He had surgery to remove the mass. They also found out that it spread to his lungs. They started radiation, and unfortunately, it was too painful for him and he needed to stop. After this, he went downhill quickly. In and out of the hospital, and then was in hospice for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, he lost his battle on May 30.

Every day while in the hospital and hospice, Brittany made the trek to Fox Chase to sit by his side. Many of those days, he was sleeping, and she just sat there alone by his side to make sure he knew he wasn’t alone.

As this happened so quickly, Brittany has had no time to even think about the costs of everything that comes after. She is an only child, and my uncle had no other family, so the burden of this falls directly onto her. I would love to be able to help relieve some of this weight off her shoulders if possible.
