Hey guys. As many of you may know already, my best friend Ricky Cole Fowler was brutally killed April 23, 2025, by a coward! Cole was the kind of friend everyone wants but doesn’t exactly realize they need. Cole became my best friend early on after meeting him. He looked out for me and everyone he cared about, even those he didn’t know. He was hilarious to be around, always having inside jokes between us, always trying to teach me this or that, especially about bicycles, knowing it was a complete loss every time. He loved hard. He protected hard. He didn’t deserve to die the way he did.
I had moved away about a year ago, and we kept talking about visiting soon, but a heartless person took his life in the early morning hours while he lay asleep. I never thought the last time I got a hug or the last phone call would be the last. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the tragic loss of his wonderful life so soon and would so desperately love it if a miracle happened and made it possible for me to travel to his home and be given my final chance to say my goodbyes.
I’m asking for help in raising enough to be able to get the ticket to travel from Washington to Texas and then back home with just a little bit extra for food as I would be on the bus for two days, spend a day there, and two days back. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to make this very important trip, but I’m not banking on it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
