Honoring JoAnn Breeze: Please help with Probate costs By Colleen Sanders Reynolds

Dear friends, family, neighbors, and kind-hearted strangers,

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn Breeze, who left us on June 9, 2025. JoAnn was a wonderful mother, sister, neighbor, and friend who touched many lives. She will be deeply missed.

Always looking her best, JoAnn was known for welcoming everyone. She gave amazing hugs, loved Utes football, and shared her delicious cooking every night! She loved watching Alabama Football with her best friend, Donald Trisdale. JoAnn spent hours making beautifully detailed quilts and cross-stitch with her beloved little dogs, Elle and BB, by her side.

She married two loves, Alan Adams and Norman Breeze, both now passed. She leaves behind her children, Chris & Matt VanderToolen, Brook & Jana Redington and Mark & Sybil Adams, her brothers Stan & Joann Shober and Doug & Jackie Shober. She reunited with her oldest daughter, Lori Bodily, in 2020.

During this difficult time of grief, the family is also facing a great deal of expenses due to the legal complexities of probate. As there is no will, everything will go to Probate. Probate freezes all assets while a court supervises the evaluation of all debts, taxes, and also assesses the estate’s assets. Brook and Jana have lived with and cared for JoAnn for six years. Their assets on the property will also be considered by the probate court. At this time, Brook has no access to any funds to pay the basic utilities or even simple daily living expenses. They are also responsible for caring for multiple dogs, including JoAnn’s. They need funds for a probate lawyer, cremation, travel, and burial in Salt Lake City, UT. They wish to host a Celebration of Life and give JoAnn the memorial she deserves.

Funeral and related costs are substantial. Brook and Jana are facing a huge battle ahead, and due to the inability to access any funds, they are struggling for their basic needs at this time. Support will help immensely. Any contribution will make a difference. Generosity will allow the family to focus on honoring JoAnn’s memory. If unable to contribute financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Sharing the fundraiser will help reach more potential supporters.

Thank you for your compassion and generosity. Please share a great memory you have with JoAnn in the Words of support below.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Colleen Reynolds

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
