Help a Veteran’s Widow After Sudden Loss
On June 3rd, 2025, I lost my husband — my partner, my best friend, and my greatest support. He passed away suddenly, leaving behind a legacy of love, honor, and quiet strength.
My husband was an Army veteran who lived his life with humility and integrity. He was the kind of man who never sought recognition but always showed up — for his country and those in need. As his wife, I was blessed to share my life with someone so deeply kind, and beautiful.
In the wake of his unexpected passing, I’m facing not only profound grief but urgent financial hardship. I am reaching out with the hope of easing the immediate burden of funeral expenses and helping cover our basic bills for the next couple months if we can reach a greater goal as I navigate this incredibly difficult transition.
Why I’m Asking for Help
• Funeral Costs: These came suddenly and are more than I can manage on my own.
• Living Expenses: With the loss of my husband’s income even prior to the date of his passing, I am struggling to keep up with essential bills like rent, utilities, and groceries.
If you’re in a position to help, whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply a kind word — it all means more than I and his children can express. Every little bit helps, and I am deeply grateful for the support of those around me. His children; Victoria Herrera, Andrew Herrera, Phillip Montanelli, Albert Herrera, Daniel Montanelli, Viviana Herrera, Eliza Abila & Jacob Abila are more than thankful for your consideration and for helping them grieve with respect and honor without deeper heartache.
Thank you for reading and for holding space for me and all of Alfred’s family during this time.
With heartfelt thanks,
Christina Herrera
