I’m coming to you all with such a heavy heart. Joshua David was full of life, and whoever he crossed paths with, you couldn’t help but feel like you were a part of his family from the beginning. Joshua is, or now was, a wonderful father, and I truly don’t say that lightly. He was truly a great father, and I couldn’t have asked God for a better man to be the father of my granddaughter, Arizona. Every single picture I took of him with his family—Chelsea, Peyton, and Arizona—he is either holding or is right by the girls.
Joshua was hit by a truck, and the driver left him to die alone on the side of the road. Can you imagine? That’s a special kind of human to leave someone that he hit so hard he knocked Joshua out of his shoes and just left him to die all alone.
Telling my daughter has to be the hardest thing I’ve ever done as a mother, and when Arizona woke up, she smiled at me, having no clue her life was no longer going to have her father in it.
Joshua was the sole provider for his family and even was paying his mother’s rent. Speaking of Joshua’s mother, this is her second child she has lost. She’s truly an amazing human, and she raised her son to be amazing also, and now for the second time, she gets to bury her only son. Can we all say “THANK YOU, TRAVIS SMITH”! I’m coming to you all to ask for help to bury Josh so we all can say goodbye properly, and to help his mom pay her rent and to help Chelsea put food on the table so the girls can eat. I know the limit I put seems high, but funerals are expensive and so are children. Please, if you have a dollar or a thousand dollars, just know it’s going to help my daughter, Arizona, and Cheryl.
I will give updates as this court case goes on, but we have to bury a young man and start this incredibly hard journey to raise a little girl who her daddy was her best friend
