Hello, my name is Emiliano, and I’m reaching out during one of the most painful and overwhelming times of my life. I just returned from Mexico after laying my father to rest. He passed away suddenly from aggressive stomach cancer, just weeks after his diagnosis. The emotional and financial impact of his passing has been incredibly heavy, and I’ve been trying to hold everything together.
Just three days after returning home, I received another devastating call: my grandmother, my father’s mother, has passed away as well. Now, I have to book another flight to Mexico, leave my job on hold again, and face the reality of burying another beloved family member.
It’s just me and my brother dealing with everything, and we’re both emotionally and financially exhausted. Between travel costs, funeral arrangements, time off work, and the lingering expenses from my dad’s funeral, we’re struggling to stay afloat.

Hola, mi nombre es Emiliano, y escribo esto en uno de los momentos más dolorosos y abrumadores de mi vida. Acabo de regresar de México después de despedir a mi padre, quien falleció repentinamente a causa de un cáncer de estómago muy agresivo, tan solo unas semanas después de ser diagnosticado. Su pérdida ha sido devastadora tanto emocional como económicamente, y he estado haciendo todo lo posible por mantenerme firme.
Apenas tres días después de regresar a casa, recibí otra llamada devastadora: mi abuela, la madre de mi papá, también ha fallecido. Ahora tengo que volver a viajar a México, dejar mi trabajo en pausa otra vez y enfrentarme al dolor de despedir a otro ser querido.
Solo estamos mi hermano y yo haciéndonos cargo de todo, y estamos agotados emocional y financieramente. Entre los gastos del viaje, los arreglos del funeral, el tiempo fuera del trabajo y las deudas que aún arrastro del funeral de mi papá, nos está costando mucho salir adelante.
