My sweet momma was diagnosed with stomach cancer in April and then went into hospice this month in May. A week after going into hospice, my momma passed away. She had been struggling with horrible, debilitating symptoms and after multiple exams and procedures and spending 2 weeks in the hospital, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer and due to her age, treatment was not recommended.
Even then, my momma leaned on her faith and kept her optimism that she could still get better or at least live a few more months, sadly her body had suffered too much and she was just too weak to continue. What made this even more difficult was that my momma was also completely blind due to glaucoma. Yet she still held to her strong faith in God and remained positive through the vomiting, pain, and feeling weak because she was unable to eat and keep any nutrition in her body.
I am humbly asking for any help on her behalf to give her the final farewell she deserves to cover funeral expenses. My mom was widowed and because I was her FT caregiver, I was unable to work during these past 6 months in order to tend to her 24/7. So this created a financial hardship, leaving us in financial need. While some may say due to her age at 87 she lived a full life, she still had many goals she wanted to accomplish but due to her disability of blindness, she learned to accept and still kept a positive outlook. She was my rock and beautiful example of the type of person I want to be in this life. I am grateful for the time I had with her and while I miss her terribly already. However, I am consoled knowing her suffering has ended and she is now resting in peace. I wholeheartedly appreciate any donations and may God bless you all.
