My name is Kel, and I am writing this letter with a heart full of both sorrow and pride. My son, Malic, passed away on [insert date], and not a moment goes by that I don’t think about him. The pain of losing him is something I can’t fully put into words—but in the middle of that pain, we chose to give the gift of life to others through Malic’s organ donation.
Malic was a lover boy in every sense of the word. He loved hard, he cared deeply, and he gave freely. If you were family to him—by blood or by bond—you knew it. He never held back from saying “I love you” or showing up when someone needed him. He had a heart bigger than this world and a smile that lit up every room he walked into.
Malic adored his family. He loved being around us, laughing with us, supporting us, and just being present. He had dreams, passions, and a life full of love ahead of him. Though his time was short, his impact was enormous.
Through his donation, Malic lives on. It brings me comfort to know that even in death, my son is helping someone else live—to breathe, to see, to keep going. That’s who he was. And I hope that whoever received his gift carries him with love and care.
Thank you for being part of Malic’s story now. Please know that you carry a piece of someone who was truly special.
With all my heart,
