Honoring the Life of Michael Webb and Supporting His Family in a Time of Loss
It is with great sadness that we have to announce that one of our Western Sizzlin of Wilson beloved employees has tragically passed away this past Monday. The general manager of Western Sizzlin of Wilson and its employees have been granted permission to create this request for assistance with the cremation and expenses surrounding the passing of Michael Webb, who left us on Monday, June 9, 2025. His life was cut short and unexpectedly, but the devastation and hurt is indeed traumatic. Michael, aka Mikey, and his beloved wife, Michelle, are employees at Western Sizzlin of Wilson. They have worked together for many years. They didn’t have medical insurance or life insurance to cover the expenses surrounding his sudden passing. Mikey leaves behind in the wake of his passing, his beautiful wife, Michelle Webb, of the home; two sons, Shane Webb and Caleb Webb (Kayla).
Mikey was a positive presence, bringing youthful energy and enthusiasm, also laughter, to the workplace. You could hear his co-worker, Jimmy, laughing in the kitchen when Mikey would get him going. It would make all of us smile. Everyone at Western Sizzlin loved and cared for Mikey. Mikey could often be found on Facebook after hours tagging his co-workers and family to some of the funniest and most heartfelt stuff on Facebook.
Mikey was a young man who loved his family. He was incredibly proud of them. To be honest, Mikey was everything to them. He was definitely Michelle’s person. They worked so well together at Western Sizzlin. If she was having a hard day, Mikey and Annette could pull her into the office to help her work through it. Mikey was exactly what she needed. He grounded her. He was her peace in a storm. The boys looked up to their father as a great superhero who could do all things and help them with the difficulties of this life. Mikey was especially proud of his sister, Emily, and her wife, Kassandra. He was constantly talking about the recent birth of his niece, Eliana. Oh, how he loved sharing photos of his niece. He was so happy when his sister, Emily, allowed him to be the one who got to be the keeper of the gender for the gender reveal. He often shared stories and moments of joy related to his family and his in-laws.
It was especially hard for Mikey last year when he lost his best buddy and father-in-law, Gordon Bonta. Mikey loved working with Gordon on the side when he wasn’t at Western Sizzlin.
Beyond his family, Mikey was a true testament to strength and determination, particularly regarding his sobriety of 2 1/2 years. His journey inspired so many, and he advocated for a healthy and fulfilling life beyond drugs. He wasn’t ashamed of his testimony. He proudly shared it.
Mikey’s sudden passing has caused shock and grief to those who knew and loved him.
To support his family during this challenging time, this fundraiser page has been created. The financial burden of funeral expenses and other unforeseen costs adds to their emotional pain.
This fundraiser will help ease this burden for Mikey’s family. Funds raised will go directly to cover any expenses surrounding the loss of Michael Webb. Any contribution will make a difference, allowing his family to focus on grieving and honoring Mikey’s memory. Your generosity, thoughts, and prayers are appreciated as they navigate this difficult path.
Thank you for your compassion and for helping celebrate the life of Mikey. Together, we will all show his family the support they deserve.
Thank you for your love and support.
